Pastor Susan "Andy" Jepson

The purpose of
this Church shall be to unite the followers of Jesus Christ for
the worship of God and to make God’s will preeminent in their
lives, individually and collectively, especially as that will is
set forth in the life, teachings, death and resurrection of
Jesus Christ.
This Church
acknowledges Jesus Christ as its head, and finds in the Holy
Scriptures, interpreted by the Holy Spirit through reason,
faith, and conscience, its guidance in matters of faith and
discipline.
This Church
recognizes the Bible as the sufficient rule of faith and
practice, and holds that living in accordance with the teachings
and spirit of Jesus Christ is the true test of fellowship.
Each member shall
have the undisturbed right to follow the Word of God according
to the dictates of conscience under the enlightenment of the
Holy Spirit.
We are a
community of faith in Jesus Christ, open to all; by following
His teachings we willingly serve God, our neighbors and each
other through worship, fellowship and ministry.
These five brief
statements say a lot about us as a church, as a fellowship and
as a family. We have been here since 1895, when we were founded
as a Congregational Society. When the United Church of Christ
was founded in 1957, we became a part of this successor in faith
to the Congregational Church. In doing so, we affirmed the
importance of community and fellowship in supporting each of us
as we exercise the individual right and responsibility of
determining how scripture, teaching and tradition come together
in each of our lives and situations.
Like life, we are
both comfortable and challenging by turns, relaxed enough to
“come as we are” and rigorous enough to expect that we will
leave changed. We look beyond habit and convenience to test
ourselves and our faith against God’s standards as we find them
through worship, scripture and each other.
We invite you to
join us for worship. Each person who walks in our door brings
new experience and perspective to inform and enrich us all in
the journey we call faith.
